As of September 2023, we have been awarded a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) by the US Government. As an active user in the System for Award Management (SAM), we are now able to conduct business with various federal agencies.
Since April 2022, the US Federal Government has transitioned from using the Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) to the Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) as the primary means of entity identification for federal awards government-wide. Previously, the DUNS number was commonly used as the unique identifier for organizations and companies worldwide, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. However, the US government has made a significant shift towards the UEI to streamline the identification process and enhance efficiency in handling federal awards.
If you are a business or entity looking to obtain a UEI, the only method to acquire one is by directly registering through the official government website, SAM.gov. It is important to note that once you obtain a UEI, your entity registration must be renewed every 365 days to remain active.
